My Name Is Earl is a show about a man named Earl Hickey (Played by the amazing skateboarding legend Jason Lee.) who has a terrible life and after almost dying he learned about Karma. So the show is about him going off to make amends with everyone he's done wrong in the past, because if he does good things, good things will come to him. This is my watch journal and I'll have each section labeled by episode.
SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINTPilot starts off with Earl buying a lottery ticket and then immediately stealing stuff out of somebody's car. After he does that he learns the ticket he bought was a winner for $100,000, but while he was celebrating his win he was struck by a carand he watched as the ticket blew away. After coming to in a hospital room he sees Carson Daly on TV talking about his life being amazing because of karma. He does good things so good things happen to him and that got some gears turning Earls mind. Earl came up with the conclusion that he's done terrible things his whole life and that's why his life is terrible also meaning when something good happened i.e winning $100,000 he was struck by a car. After that he made a list of all the wrong things he's done so he can make up for it and be a better person. Suddenly while he was making up for being a "litter bug" by picking up garbage in the hotel parking lot the $100,000 lottery ticket blows over and lands right to his feet reassuring him that his plan is working. The first person Earl tries to make amends with is "#64: Picked On Kenny James" Kenny was a kid that Earl bullied when they were in school and after realizing Kenny was lonely he decided he'd help him by getting him laid. After hiring a prostitute to help him out and it failing, he learned Kenny is gay and though he was freaked out for a moment because he eventually went back to help him. While being resistant towards the idea at first Earl decided he'd take Kenny to a gay bar and showed Kenny he accepted him causing him to gain his confidence and talking to a guy he thought was cute. After that Earl got to check him off his list.
